I'm in several leagues again this year and wanted another tool to help me manage my lineups in each. Before the season started, I started working up a prototype analyzer for my lineups. I was about 70-75% done when I got an email from one the FFN API users. Paul Warner has created an open-source Fantasy Football Analyst application. I downloaded it but had some difficulty running it unless I ran it as Admin on my computer. Once it was running though, it was seriously slick. There are a few bugs to work out, but overall it's a great idea and he's done a fantastic job. I still needed a reliable analyzer tool so I went back to my original work and wrapped it up.
The FFN Lineup Analyzer is now available for everyone to use. You'll need to create an account to use it though, but don't worry - registration is free. Registration is required because FFN needs to be able to remember your team(s) and we can only do that with an account. So sign up and try it.
I'm considering the Lineup Analyzer to be in a beta stage. There may be bugs that haven't been uncovered yet, so be sure to email me with any bugs or suggestions.
I like it a lot! I've put in 4 of my leagues so far and have compared it to my picks, and it's been very close, almost spot on in all leagues. Great work NERD!

NERD, thanks for the plug...used your analyzer and its great very much what I was looking at when I was designing mine. On the flip side if you go DL the latest on the page I think you should be able to run it sans the admin now. I removed all the the fluff and reduced the size as well. I have some enhancements coming soon too that should be pretty sweet as well.
The old size I think was like 4MB or something got it down to 300KB or so :D. None the less I just finished figuring out how to pull NFL team stats down so I am working on adding that in.
Good luck with your app I will drop in and check on it as well.

This is so cool. I put all my teams in and it was so fast. It's so cool that you do this for free. If you put a paypal button on the site maybe people will donate money to you.
I'm going to try the download one too.l
thank you for the tool. this is one of the websights that i use all the time.

Thanks guys for the comments. The Pay Pal button is a neat idea mrock, but I don't anticipate doing that anytime soon. FFN is a part-time hobby (ok, part-time obsession) for me. The ads on the site basically cover my hosting and next month I should break even (YEAH!!). My agreement with Fantasy Sports Network ends in December and for various reasons I may let that expire. I've heard from many of you regarding the popups and now the expanding ads. I've asked them to stop delivering the popups, but please let me know if you see any more.
If anyone really has a desire to donate anything, I have 2 wishes! 1) Visit the FFN homepage and click on the Yahoo Buzz Up link, the Digg link, or any of the other links. 2) Take whatever money you were thinking about donating to FFN and donate to a more worthy cause. Send a few bucks to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure foundation for their continuing efforts to fight breast cancer. Donate time or money to Habitat for Humanity. Give to the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Any of those options would absolutely thrill me and we'll all get more mileage out of it than donating to FFN!
Regarding the new Analyzer, I'm floored by the sheer number of people who have added their teams to it. Looking at some of the team names makes me laugh. There are definitely some creative folks out there! The feedback has been overwhelmingly positive and there have been some great suggestions for improvements.
I hope you enjoy it and continue to find it useful. As always, keep the feedback coming! You guys are the best!
Good luck this season.

This is the ESPN url.
It has a league id and a team id. The seasonId looks optional as it defaults to this season.
