I say this because my father and I are making our annual pilgrimage to the mecca of the most storied franchise in the NFL. There's nothing like gameday in Green Bay and the Packers have NEVER LOST when we've attended the game. We've been going for years and we've seen so many teams. Vikings...beat 'em. Random Thoughts From a Fantasy Football NerdNovember 15, 2009 0 Total Comments Windows 7 Word Recap - I saw this twice. Once at the end of the Packers/Cowboys and again at the end of the Cardinals/Seahawks game. I'm more of a Linux fan than Microsoft so I found it pretty funny that during both of those segments, the sound went out each time a new word was displayed. With half the season over with, it may be more important than ever to make some lineup adjustments to get you into the playoffs. Here are the guys that I'm watching in my various leagues along with their availability in FleaFlicker, my favorite league platform. Back from vacationNovember 1, 2009 1 Total Comments I'm back from a wonderful family mini-vacation. We spent some time in Wisconsin Dells at a monsterously huge resort with several indoor water parks. It was in the upper 30's outside, so it was pretty nice to be able to hang out in the warm water. After returning from the water parks, I took an hour drive to a car dealership yesterday to test drive a 2007 Hummer H2 and a 2006 Hummer H2 SUT. I've always wanted an H2 and have been convincing myself that the $210 that I'm saving each month from not smoking would justify the extra monthly expense. Fortunately (or unfortunately) I didn't pull the trigger yesterday. The Hummers are still on the lot. So where am I going with this story? Well, the trip to Wisconsin Dells was very expensive once we got there (think $32 pizzas and $50+ dinner buffets) but was worth it to spend the time with my family. The Hummers are gorgeous (in my opinion), but with gas prices climbing, they become very expensive to own. In fantasy football, it's not uncommon to pay a high price for a player and then find yourself in a position where that "expensive" player continues to cost you points down the road. |
