T.Y. Hilton Fantasy Analysis

  • Luck out 2-6 weeks with abdominal injuries
The Colts announced on Tuesday that QB Andrew Luck will be sidelined 2-6 weeks with abdominal injuries suffered in last week's win over the Broncos.  Luck was hurt on a scramble early in the 4th quarter, according to HC Chuck Pagano.  He finished out the game but was still in pain on Monday afternoon.  He underwent tests that revealed a kidney laceration and a partial tear of an abdominal muscle.  "It's way too early to guess how long Andrew will be out," Pagano said. "We're going to keep listening to the doctors and evaluating his progress on a week by week basis."  The Colts have a Week 10 bye, so it's possible that Luck misses just 1 game.  The longer end of the timeline would knock him out until Week 16.  Fantasy owners should hang on to him if possible while we wait for a more concrete timetable for return.  QB Matt Hasselbeck will start for however long Luck is out.  The 40-year-old was solid in 2 starts earlier this year, completing 63.2% of his passes with 3 TDs and 0 INTs.  But Hasselbeck is still a downgrade for Indy's offense. • Hilton active
Colts WR T.Y. Hilton (foot) is a surprise active for today's game against the Broncos.  He didn't practice all week and won't be at 100% today.  Hilton might not play much and might be more of a decoy when he's out there.  We'd leave him on fantasy benches. Full Story

  • Hilton ran Friday
Although he didn't practice all week, Colts WR T.Y. Hilton (foot) ran off to the side on Friday, according to HC Chuck Pagano.  "We will see how he feels when he comes in (Saturday) morning and the byproduct of the work he did today," Pagano said afterward.  We're still not banking on Hilton playing -- and he wouldn't be a recommended fantasy start if he does play against Denver -- but we'll continue to track his status.  Broncos-Colts doesn't kick off until 4:25 pm ET on Sunday. • Hilton a game-time decision for Week 9
Colts WR T.Y. Hilton (foot) "looks like a game-time decision" for Sunday's tilt with the Broncos, a source tells NFL Network's Rand Getlin.  Hilton didn't practice Wednesday or Thursday and was still in a walking boot.  He'd be best off sitting through Indy's Week 10 bye.  Hilton won't be a recommended fantasy starter if he plays at less than 100% against Denver's shut-down pass defense. • Hilton has foot injury
Colts WR T.Y. Hilton did not practice on Wednesday due to a foot injury suffered in Monday night's loss.  Hilton was in a boot after the game, according to insider Kevin Bowen.  And Mike Chappell hears that Hilton underwent an MRI, the results of which are still unknown.  HC Chuck Pagano said Wednesday that Hilton is "still being evaluated."  He might just be better off sitting out a brutal Week 9 matchup against the Broncos and resting up through the Week 10 bye.  If Hilton doesn't play on Sunday, it'd mean more snaps for WR Andre Johnson.
