Jay Cutler Fantasy Analysis

  • Cutler high on White
Bears WR Kevin White drew praise from QB Jay Cutler. "A rookie missing kind of that vital year, where you learn so much that first year jumping into that second year, it's a big miss for him," Cutler said. "But he's so physically gifted I think he's going to make it up really, really quickly. It's just a matter of him letting those athletic gifts come through and him getting comfortable with the system and the verbiage and the splits and everything else that he's going to learn, and being at a place where he doesn't have to think and can just go out and play football. I think once we hit a fast-forward button and get to that point, he's going to be something special." These remarks continue the theme of a hype-filled offseason. Even with Alshon Jeffery set for a large target share, White's skill set positions him for some big fantasy lines. Full Story

  • Don't expect a volume boost from Cutler
The Chicago Tribune's Dan Wiederer expects Bears QB Jay Cutler "to be the manager of a run-first, ball-control attack." That sounds like Chicago's approach from 2015, when the team finished 6th in rush attempts. An efficient Cutler still proved useful in spots for fantasy owners. And fortunately, he won't be learning a completely different offense even after losing former OC Adam Gase. "The majority of the offensive backbone of what we do [under new OC Dowell Loggains] is staying the same," Cutler said. Loggains was the QB coach last year, so there should be a smooth transition. With enticing weapons around him, Cutler retains spot-start appeal in 2016. Full Story
