Malcom Floyd Fantasy Analysis

  • Floyd back at practice Wednesday
Chargers WR Malcom Floyd (shoulder) returned to practice on Wednesday.  He's said he wants to play again this year, and it looks like he has a chance to suit up for this weekend's game against the Jaguars.  His presence would be good news for QB Philip Rivers. Full Story

  • Floyd out for Week 11
Chargers WR Malcom Floyd (shoulder) is out for Sunday's game against the Chiefs. There's talk that he's trying to return this season, but that's certainly not a lock. Dontrelle Inman will serve as San Diego's #2 WR and is a viable WR3 flier in fantasy lineups. Full Story

  • Floyd plans on playing again this season
Chargers WR Malcom Floyd plans on returning to play this season after suffering a torn labrum in his shoulder in Week 9.  ''I plan on coming back,'' he said Wednesday. ''Based on the experience of all the injuries I've had, you've got to know your body and know how to rehab it and get back on track.''  Floyd hasn't yet been cleared to practice and is an extreme long shot to play against the Chiefs this weekend.  We'll continue to track his rehab, but he's not worth stashing in most fantasy leagues. • Floyd has torn labrum
Chargers WR Malcom Floyd suffered a torn labrum in his shoulder in Monday night's loss to the Bears, according to insider Michael Gehlken.  The injury might end Floyd's season.  At minimum, he'll miss multiple weeks and can be dropped in fantasy leagues.  His absence leaves Stevie Johnson, Dontrelle Inman and Javontee Herndon as San Diego's top 3 WRs.  Johnson and TE Antonio Gates figure to dominate targets.  TE Ladarius Green could also be busy when he's ready to return from that ankle injury.
