  • Broncos QB job a "wide open competition"
    Andrew Mason of the Broncos' official website says the team's starting QB job is a "wide open competition."  Mark Sanchez, Paxton Lynch and even Trevor Siemian have received 1st-team reps in OTAs.  The battle will ultimately come down to Sanchez vs. Lynch.  While both guys have their warts, throwing the Demaryius Thomas and Emmanuel Sanders could make Denver's QB a spot-start option in fantasy football.   • Sanchez had thumb surgery
    Broncos QB Mark Sanchez recently underwent surgery on his left, non-throwing thumb, according to insider Mike Klis.  Sanchez is expected to be out "at least a week."  He'll likely miss next week's OTAs, but the issue shouldn't factor into Denver's QB competition.  Sanchez remains the current favorite to be under center come Week 1.  He'll need to hold off 1st-round rookie Paxton Lynch and potentially a veteran addition.
