Ben Roethlisberger Fantasy Analysis

  • Roethlisberger expected to miss 4-6 weeks
CBS Sports' Jason La Canfora reports that the MRI on Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger's knee revealed a sprained MCL.  There's no damage to his ACL.  Roethlisberger is expected to miss 4-6 weeks, according to ESPN Chris Mortensen.  Mort adds that Pittsburgh is "planning for the high end" of that range.  It's still good news after what looked like a potential season-ending injury.  Big Ben should be back sometime between Week 8 and Week 10.  The Steelers have a Week 11 bye, so it's possible they hold him out until Week 12, but consider that the worst case.  Roethlisberger is worth stashing if you have the roster space.  QB Michael Vick will start in the meantime and be an intriguing 2-QB league and cheap DFS play.
