Sam Bradford Fantasy Analysis

  • Bradford has bone bruise
Vikings QB Sam Bradford has been diagnosed with a bone bruise in his knee, according to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero. He'll get an injection this week, and the team will monitor his progress from there. This shouldn't be a long-term concern, but Bradford doesn't sound like a lock to play Week 3. Full Story

  • Vikings believe Bradford will play Week 3
The "belief" in Minnesota is that QB Sam Bradford (knee) will be back for Week 3, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. It's not a sure thing, though. "The ACL is fine, the other ligaments are fine, this really was just a swelling and discomfort issue from taking a shot to his knee last week," Rapoport explained. "The only thing is, they really don't know how his knee is going to respond to treatment; how his knee is going to handle getting worked on all week and when he'll be able to fully bend it like he needs to. They think it's going to be one week. They think he'll be under center next week. But until you go on a few days and see how the treatment takes hold, there's really no way to know for sure." We'll have to keep a close eye on Bradford this week. The Vikings' offense couldn't get anything going with Case Keenum under center in Pittsburgh yesterday. Full Story

The Vikings "believe" QB Sam Bradford's troublesome left knee will cost him just 1 game, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Bradford put in 3 limited practices this week but obviously wasn't well enough today to give it a go. We'll keep a close eye on his status throughout the next week. Minnesota hosts the Bucs next Sunday. Full Story

  • Bradford a "legitimate game-time decision"
Vikings QB Sam Bradford (knee) is a "legitimate game-time decision" for Week 2, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Bradford has no structural damage in that left knee but is dealing with "discomfort," Rapoport adds. The good news is that we'll find out his official status by noon ET today. The knee certainly adds risk to his fantasy value even if he plays, though. We just nudged Bradford and his pass-catchers down the Week 2 rankings. Full Story

Vikings QB Sam Bradford (knee) was limited in practice all week and is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Steelers. He's dealing with a left knee injury that reportedly required an MRI this week. But HC Mike Zimmer said Friday that he expects Bradford to play this weekend. We'll find out for sure by noon ET on Sunday. Assuming he's active, Bradford will be a risk/reward QB2. Full Story
