Defensive Dossiers and Team RSS Feeds

Posted: Tuesday, September 13, 2011

Just a quick update on two new features this year on

The first update is a new feature called Defensive Dossier. The purpose here is to take a look at how other key players performed against the defense that a player is getting read to face. For example, if you click on Andre Johnson's name in this week's weekly rankings, you'll see the following in the box that displays.

Defensive Dossier

Obviously this should become more useful as we progress throughout the season. It's one thing to know where that defense ranks as far as yards allowed and points allowed, but FFN thinks it's useful to see what other players have done from a purely fantasy perspective against that team.

Another new feature released today is now part of the Lineup Analyzer. On the Analyzer page for each of your teams is a new RSS feed option to subscribe to news that is just for your players. Thanks to Scott J for the suggestion.

New RSS Option

There is a new feature under development that I hope to announce shortly. I'm not sure if anyone else has this feature (it's possible as there are a lot of new sites out there), but I think it will be a welcome addition to FFN! More to follow on that.

As always, if you have suggestions, feel free to email them to

I hope you can add IDP positions/players in 2012. I'll definitely be in the premium section for that.

IDP is a popular request. I appreciate the suggestion!

Great additions. I'd love it if you had a section for ROTW Rankings. Rest of the way ranks are always helpful for negotiations.
