Steps to Install & Use


Step 1: Install the Plugin

First things first - you'll need to download and activate the FFN plugin. The easiest way to do this is by signing into your WordPress Administration section and searching for it. Find Plugins from the WordPress admin menu and click on Add New.

Search for "fantasy football" and the FFN plugin should show up in your search results. Click on the "Install Now" button.

Alternative: If you don't want to add the plugin from the search menu, you can also access the FFN WordPress plugin by visiting the official WordPress website and adding it from there.

Download the FFN WordPress Plugin

Download and activate the FFN plugin. From the WordPress Administration screen, click on "Plugins" and click on "Upload New Plugin". Once it has been uploaded, look for the Fantasy Football plugin. When you find it, click the Activate link.

Step 2: Register for an API Key

In order for the plugin to talk to FantasyFootballNerd.com, you'll need to create an API key. This key allows your plugin to tell us who you are, what services you have access to, and allows us to monitor the resources used so that we can continue to provide a responsive platform for everyone.

If you don't have an account at FFN, you'll need to create one, but don't worry - it's quick and easy. If you already have an account, you'll need to sign in to either get your key or to generate one.

If you need to create an API key, do so and then come back here and go to Step 3.

Step 3: Add your API Key to WordPress

Once you have your API key, go back to your WordPress Administration screen and click on the Settings option. From there, look for the "FFN Settings" link.

Enter your API key into the appropriate box and click "Save Changes". Congratulations - you've just installed the FFN Fantasy Football WordPress plugin! Now it's time to start plugging it into your website!

Step 4: Shortcode Example

EXAMPLE: How to add a shortcode to your page.

Use the following as an example of how to add an FFN shortcode. If you wanted to add the depth chart for the Green Bay Packers to your website, you would first create a new page in WordPress. Give your page a title and add whatever content you want to the page. Wherever you want the depth chart to appear, simply copy and paste the following code into your page:
